The All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) condemns in the strongest words the malicious cyber attack by far-right forces against student activists and leaders, Dipsita Dhar, Joint secretary and Aishe Ghosh, Secretariat member of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI). The far-right cyber bullies have issued rape and death threats against them, just because they expressed their sentiments in favour of peace and refused to support war. AIDWA endorses stands in solidarity with these young activists who have been fighting for peace defying all odds.
In an atmosphere of euphoria in favour of war by the far-right forces, the calls of the above activists for de-escalation have not only been met with utmost disdain, but also with highly objectionable brutal targeting and insults to their body and life.
The troll army of the BJP-RSS, with the blessings of the ruling regime, want to silence every voice opposing the politics of hatred. They have not even spared the grieving family members killed by the terrorists. The agenda of divide and rule of the BJP will not succeed.
AIDWA condemns all kinds of attacks and insults on peace loving people by the right-wing forces and appeals to all democratic sections of the society to come forward in defense of secularism and peace. AIDWA also demands that the cyber cell of the police take immediate action against these trollers and take steps to prevent such threats in future
